Information you provide
The site may collect information that you voluntarily provide, such as when you submit a correction or contact form, subscribe to updates, submit a comment if comments are enabled, participate in a form or survey. Depending on the feature, information may include your name, email address, message, submitted content, and other information you choose to provide.
Do not submit sensitive information. Please do not send confidential, participant, case-management, personnel, medical, financial, authentication, or other protected information through site forms.
Information collected automatically
The site is hosted through WordPress.com and uses WordPress and Jetpack services. These services may automatically process technical and usage information such as IP address, browser and device information, referring URL, pages viewed, links clicked, date and time of activity, browser language, approximate geographic information, and cookies or similar technologies.
The site owner generally uses analytics in aggregate to understand which content is useful and how the site is being used.
WordPress.com and currently active site services
As of September 18, 2026, the site is hosted on WordPress.com and has active WordPress/Jetpack services plus Akismet Anti-spam, Crowdsignal Forms, Gravatar Enhanced, Sensei LMS, Gutenberg, Page Optimize, and TablePress. These services support hosting, security, analytics, spam prevention, forms, avatars, course functionality, editing, performance, or table display. Not every active plugin necessarily collects personal information from every visitor.
Inactive plugins are not described as current collection practices. If the active service mix changes materially, this policy should be updated. Third-party providers’ processing practices are also governed by their applicable privacy notices and policies.
Cookies
WordPress.com, Jetpack, and enabled site services may use cookies or similar technologies for site functions, security, preferences, analytics, forms, or other active features. The exact cookies can vary with WordPress.com platform changes, authentication state, and enabled features. This site is directed to workforce-development professionals and a general adult audience. It is not designed to collect personal information from children.

Questions or privacy-related requests may be submitted through the site’s Report an Error / Contact process.
Course learning data
Workforce Wonkery courses are currently designed for open access. No course account is required, and the current page-based knowledge checks and scenarios do not submit an individual learner’s answers or score to Workforce Wonkery. The Core Course may store simple lesson-completion progress locally in the learner’s browser so the course can resume on that device; clearing browser/site data removes that local progress. WordPress.com, Jetpack, and enabled site services may still process ordinary technical or aggregate usage information as described elsewhere in this policy.
If individual course accounts, saved progress, submitted quizzes, certificates, or other personal learning records are introduced later, this Privacy Policy and the Course Ethics & Learner Rights standard will be updated before those features are offered publicly.
Course platform note. Sensei LMS remains installed on the site, but the current public courses do not use account-based enrollment, submitted quizzes, server-side progress tracking, or learner certificates. Draft LMS support pages are not part of the public course experience.
